Terms of Service - CardJones

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CardJones.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CardJones is a Pokemon card collection and trading platform. We provide tools to browse card databases, track your collection, create wishlists, trade with other users, and participate in community discussions.

CardJones is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Pokemon Company, Nintendo, or any of their subsidiaries. Pokemon and all related names, characters, and images are trademarks of their respective owners.

3. User Accounts

You may use certain features of CardJones without an account. To access full functionality (saving collections, trading, forum participation), you must sign in with a Google account.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree not to share your account access with others.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
Post false, misleading, or fraudulent trade listings
Attempt to manipulate prices or trade ratings
Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service in an automated manner beyond normal use
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
Impersonate another person or entity

5. Trades and Transactions

CardJones facilitates connections between collectors for trading Pokemon cards. We are not a party to any trade or transaction between users.

All trades are conducted at your own risk. While we provide tools like trade ratings and escrow features to promote trust, we do not guarantee the outcome of any trade and are not responsible for losses resulting from trades between users.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post (forum posts, trade listings, chat messages). By posting content, you grant CardJones a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and distribute that content within the Service.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms or is otherwise objectionable.

7. Card Data and Pricing

Card data is sourced from third-party APIs (TCGdex, PokeAPI) and is provided for informational purposes only. Market prices are estimates and may not reflect actual sale prices. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any card data or pricing information.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CardJones shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
